I will chase my dream, says Soniya Aggarwal

Soniya Aggarwal might have had a tumultuous past, but she’s turned that downside to a terrific opportunity. Her focus has steadfastly improved her fitness, her figure and also her standing in the industry.

After her outing with Vaanam, the Chandigarh bombshell has signed on a couple of projects.

Her star is rising, so much so that a film, which was canned nearly four years back, was revived and is now showing.

Sathurangam might have been shot a while back, but industry folk and friends tell me that I look just the same and in fact more youthful now,” says an excited Soniya.

Why did the film get released now?

“The film was shelved for almost four years due to some financial problems. Many distributors have watched the film and gave us excellent feedback. But due to financial troubles it was not released. Finally the film has been taken up by a enterprising producer and it got released now. The script has finally won.” She adds, “There’s no stopping me now. I will go after my dream.”Soniya is currently shooting for the film Oru Nadigaiyin Vaakumoolam. The film is about the life of an actress.

Ask her if it’s going to be a controversial film, she says, “Nothing controversial. The role portrays both the positive and negative side of being an actress. It is definitely not a sad film.”

Is it tough to be an actress? What exactly is an actress’ life? She says, “It’s not actually tough but very challenging. You have to be strong minded to be an actress.”

She might have made a swish set of pals in the industry and gotten herself a sassy makeover with her fitness and style experts, but the core of her remains the same; a young girl yearning for big cinema to happen to her. And finally, it seems to be working for her.
